We Were Lovers - We've Got It
We Were Lovers have spent much of 2011 in good company, sharing the stage with fellow Canadian artitsts Tegan & Sara, Hannah Georgas, Handsome Furs, and most recently Mother Mother, just to name a few.
Name dropping aside the Saskatoon natives have quietly been working on material for their forthcoming debut album (due spring 2012), even dazzling fans with a taste of what's to come with a track titled, "We've Got It." Shimmering synth, Elsa Gebremichael's sultry vocals with light, ambient guitar, "We've Got It"'s radience aims for the heavens like the twilight sun, making for one alluring pop song that's a MUST listen.
Appearing at the Halifax Pop Explosion Music Festival this October as part of their larger tour including stops in Toronto, Pittsburgh, New York and Montreal, there will be plenty of opportunities to more of We Were Lovers up close and personal.
