Brooklyn-based We Barbarians release their latest Headspace, a polished alt-rock 5 track EP. Clean, crisp and a just enough reverb We Barbarians produce an enjoyable set.
Included on Headspace is 'Strange Overtones,' a David Byrne/Brian Eno cover with a post-punk spin. Standouts 'The Wait Is Over' is radio-friendly alternative at it's best, simple guitar riffs and hooky chorus, while lead vocalist David Quon channels a healthy dose of U2 circa The Joshua Tree, over 'Chambray's commanding drum beats.
Not all together an original set of songs, We Barbarians are comfortable playing in contemporary alternative rock sounds of the past decade and beyond, producing 5 tracks that are fully realized and well produced.
