Single Selections (Extended Edition): Data Romance

Data Romance - Bones 4.5/5

Vancouver's Data Romance are a striking blend of sophisticated atmosphere pop/rock and electronic beats, this duo is a medium between Lykke Li and Bjork. It's a dark trance, that will have you grooving and leave you wanting more! If you like what you hear download their EP on their official website and pay with a tweet on Twitter.

Ceci Bastida - Have You Heard? (Feat. Rye Rye) 3.5/5

iTunes

Veo La Marea is the debut solo release from Latin pop star Ceci Bastida, and with the addition the buzz worthy rapper Rye Rye assisting on the hook, Bastida may just have her english pop cross over hit with 'Have You Heard?'. Ready for hip shaking and ripe for a remix, Bastida has all the makings of an indie Shakira.

La Roux - In For The Kill (Feat. Kanye West) 1.5/5

La Roux is one of the best British exports in recent years, but was there really a need for remixing an already stellar hit with Kanye West? This is one collaboration we could do without proving not everything the ego driven West touches is gold. Note to Kanye: British pop is just fine without you!

Lykke Li - Get Some 4/5

Tribal chants, heavy drum beats, a catchy groove, and snarling guitars pull you in, even if Lykke Li singing "I'm your prostitute, you gonna get some," raises an eyebrow, there's no arguing with her on this one, it's catchy as hell.

Bass Lions - Like Ashes In My Mouth 4/5

Warm vocals, and echoing guitars it's a lyrically gorgeous folk track from Southern Ontario's Bass Lions, it's arguably one of the most memorable tracks from the band and an enchanting addition to any ipod playlist.

Ke$ha - Sleazy & Blow

The latest iTunes release 'Sleazy', from Kesha's Cannibal, has all the charm of a foul mouthed street walker! This folks is how you get an S.T.I.
1/5

Leaking to the internet 'Blow' another track from the Cannibal re-release of Animal, is a more dance friendly club banger, provided you've had your fair share of Stoli. Once in a while it's okay to admit Kesha can be good mindless fun, no harm in that!
3/5

The Black Eyed Peas - The Time (The Dirty Bit) 0.5/5

If sampling '(I've Had) The Time of My Life' from 1987's Dirty Dancing wasn't bad enough, then listening to Will.I.Am spit the same beats about how he likes to party, B.E.P. is the bomb and techno beats are the future should leave you asking isn't their new album The Beginning really just The E.N.D. pt. 2? It's mindless, tiring and we lost interest 5 minutes ago!

Ellie Goulding - Your Song 3/5
Leaked

A cover of the Elton John classic, lifted from Goulding's re-released debut Lights is less glossy than we've come to expect from the pixie songstress. Accompanied by violin and piano its a showcase for Goulding's gorgeous vocals.

Mr. Little Jeans - Rescue Song 4/5

Already receiving the remix treatment (check out the RAC and Royal Palms remixes) it's cool atmospheric pop with echoing vocals and a hint of synth is too good to be true.

Shakira - Raboisa (Feat. Pitbull) 4/5

iTunes

Off her latest album Sale el Sol, 'Raboisa' is an instant hip shaker featuring guest artist of the moment Pitbull. It's classic Shakira, just enough spice and a lot of latin pop, what's not to love.
